Eagle is a privately held, independent oil and gas exploration and production company based in Dallas, Texas. Eagle is owned and controlled by members of the Bolin family and certain members of Eagle’s management team. Directly and through its predecessors, Eagle has been actively exploring for and acquiring and developing oil and gas reserves for over 60 years and has operated and/or owned interests in almost every major basin in the continental United States.

After developing small-scale exploration ideas for the first 30 years of our history, we expanded our holdings and operations extensively in the early 2000’s with the help of a large investment from a well-known exploration and production focused private equity fund. That investment, deployed with our land and operational efforts and expertise, allowed us to build a significant portfolio of properties in Reeves County. Those properties were sold in 2012 and ultimately grew to what are now Chevron’s key holdings in the Delaware Basin.

In 2019, we shifted our focus to acquiring, optimizing, and producing legacy projects in various counties in East Texas, where today we operate more than 150 wells and have ownership interest in more than 1,000 others.

Eagle's executive offices are in Dallas, Texas, home to the exploration, engineering, land and legal departments, and its accounting and field operation departments are in Wichita Falls, Texas. We are proud to employ 30 full-time oil and gas professionals in our corporate offices and maintain an extremely qualified group of more than 40 contract field personnel.
